I’ll be visiting the area soon, and I have not been able to find the location of this auction. It is great to hear the it is in Cullen, but for someone who has never been to the area, better directions are a must. Thanks to your post, I now know that it is on rt 47. I have spent hours trying to find this! THANK YOU!!!!!

As to your computer, Ohm’s law. If voltage drops (brown out), current is going to spike momentarily. That’ll do it. Conversely, if resistance increases, voltage will spike. That’s what killed mine when the electrician switched on the breakers in the new box he’d just installed on our home, due to switch bounce. Mine was OFF at the time, cooked it right through the surge protector!

I’m resisting the urge to check their progress, but I did notice active entrance traffic today on the two mini-splits so I am cautiously hopeful I might have done the right thing for a change.

I wasn’t thinking. And instead of a ratchet strap I should have used the lighter fluid trick. I completely forgot about that. It’s probably a good thing I’m busy doing other things. Like growing old, senile and forgetful. May everyone, especially old farmers, be so blessed.

Comment on 2.7.2014 Paper or Plastic? Bagging fruit on the tree. by Robin https://www.apriorifarm.com/blog/2014/02/07/272014-paper-plastic-bagging-fruit-tree/#comment-9992 Fri, 07 Mar 2014 00:13:16 +0000 http://www.apriorifarm.com/?p=2816#comment-9992 Thanks for stopping by, Diane. Once indoors, our BMSB’s like to hang out curtain folds. I don’t see them walking around much at all. But then it’s rare that I find them inside. During the fall, I have a dedicated bug jar by the front and I make sure any bugs lurking by the door get deep-sixed before I go inside. There was an article the other day from the bug geeks at Virginia Tech saying the BMSB’s are dying in vast numbers this winter. They suspect the bitter cold. I hope they are right.

You do such a great job creating a visual of the labor of love that is farming life. Hope our winter is wrapping up so we can move on to doing things other than keeping water from freezing all day! Keep doing what you’re doing! The pay off is grand. Thanks!
